It's just a relaxing stroll along the beach from downtown Tonsai Village, where you'll discover all the nightlife - from laid back sunset beach bars to more energetic discotheques and action bars. The dive centre is also in Baan Tonsai, where you'll meet each morning for your Phi Phi dive trips, as are some shops where you can buy most things that you may need for your stay.
The resort is located at the far eastern end of Tonsai Beach - ideal if you want privacy. It's also next to the ever popular Long Beach, famous for its sunrise snorkelling with black-tip sharks.
Given the current chaotic state of re-building work in Tonsai we strongly recommend that you stay outside of the main village area. Stay at Andaman beach Resort and you'll be far away from all the noise and associated problems that plague post-tsunami central Phi Phi.

"We arrived home yesterday and have had a wonderful holiday. Many thanks to all of you for your patience and assistance in putting our trip together. Every stage went smoothly, including the pick ups/transfers. The staff at Phi Phi Scuba were fantastic and we have a great DVD documenting 3 of Sonia's dives ... The accommodation at Phi Phi was very comfy although being next to the school meant sleeping in was not an option! Overall, a fabulous holiday. We will happily reccomend you guys to other friends and travellers and we'd like to keep in touch re further dive adventures." - Manny and Sonia Augustin, Australia ...
"Thanks for organising everything at such short notice. Everything was as smooth as silk, and we had an extremely good time on Phi Phi, apart from the weather, but when you do figure out how to sort that out as well, do gimme a shout." - Shyamalam Ramaswami, UK ... |
