Phuket Island Accommodation

Patong Seaview Hotel, Phuket illuminated at night

With its plethora of beautiful bays and beaches, and alluring turquoise waters; backed up by a heady nightlife and modern amenities, Phuket remains Thailand's most popular tourist destination outside of Bangkok. This hilly tropical island is central to all of the Andaman Sea's best dive sites, including the Similan Islands and Koh Phi Phi, as well as having some of its own star attractions such as Shark Point and the Racha Islands.

As you'd expect from a resort destination of such international appeal, there's a full range of accommodations. Take advantage of their 'Low Price Guarantee' and book your accommodation with hotelscombined.com, our affiliated hotel reservation specialists:

This 4 star hotel is one of Patong's best, and is located at the quiet end of the beach that does not see much traffic, but just a few minutes from downtown Patong. The rooms are comfortable and beautifully furnished with air-conditioning, minibar, tea and coffee makeing facilities and private safe. There is a large outdoor pool, fitness centre and spa with sauna and massage. Reviews often include a mention of the quality of choice offered at breakfast, and this Phuket resort also allows you to choose between a number of restaurants.

This resort is situated just a short stroll from the beach, various Phuket scuba centres, the bustling shops and lively night scene. All rooms have a balcony with garden view and feature air conditioning, minibar, tea/coffee maker and private safe. It is ideal for families and couples, and there are some rooms suitable for handicapped guests. Facilities include massage and spa, fitness centre and outdoor swimming pools including a children's pool. There are also 3 different restaurants and a pool bar. Many guests believe this resort to offer great value for money, particularly for the deluxe rooms.

This is a small but very hospitable hotel, set on a hillside and with fabulous views over Patong Bay. The rooms are clean and tidy and, with air conditioning, broadband internet, daily newspaper, minibar and bathrobes, you might find you get more than you expect from a hotel at this range of price. Go for a swim in the pool, have a drink at the poolside bar, shoot some pool, or use the massage and spa facilities to soothe away the stresses after a day out scuba diving Phuket. They also offer airport and beach shuttles, so if you are looking for a clean and quiet oasis not too far from the action of Patong then this hotel could be for you.

Phuket Scuba Day Trips

Our diving and resort options here run throughout the whole year. From Phuket Island you can visit the Similans, as well as Phi Phi Islands and the 30 of so different local sites.

Lunch at Phi Phi Islands onboard the MV Dive Asia, the Phuket diving day trip boat

• Phuket diving day trip options

We offer 2- and 3-tank dive boat trips from the Chalong Pier. Breakfast, lunch and refreshments (drinks, tea and coffee) are served during the trips. The boat takes a maximum of 25 divers, and qualified divemasters are provided for every 4 scuba divers. Please wait for your pick up in the hotel reception area; the boat departs at 08:15 hrs and returns around 17:00 hrs, but these times do vary depending on destinations visited.

We offer scuba trips on several different boats, but they do share similar facilities - 20+ metre wood hull, steel ladders on the dive platform, kit up area, showers, toilets and rinse tanks, indoor saloon, sundeck and shaded area.

There are 2 re-compression chambers on Phuket Island, 1 in Patong, and the other in Phuket Town. We recommend divers have their own dive insurance policy - see our insurance programme for a competitive quotation. All the boats carry emergency oxygen, MFA kits, evacuation procedures, ship-to-shore radio and mobile phone contact. For non-diving accidents, there is a provincial hospital in Patong Beach, or several private international hospitals in Phuket Town.

Best Time to Go

Tourism peaks in Phuket around the Christmas and New Year holidays but the high season runs from November until the end of April. This is the dry season and the seas are at their calmest towards the end of this period. Although it's possible to dive here all year round, we recommend February to April as the very best time to come since you will avoid the premium rates that many hotels charge during peak season. Low season begins in May but the worst of the rains usually fall in September and October.
