Mike was my instructor for this course. I was extremely nervous about getting in to the water initially, but Mike was very patient, helpful and took a lot of time taking me through all the steps. Overall I find Mike to be one of the most experienced dive instructors I have met.

Instructor was nice - Medic, he made it a point to see if I was OK. It was fun to do the drift diving, but difficult ... for now. Koh Doc Mai for me was the hardest, I almost didn't complete the dive, that I will never forget. But thanks to Medic I finally made it through.
I hope to come back soon and dive more in Thailand. | |

Saw a good variety of marine life, but large group may mean that the rarer animals flee quickly. Different drop off spots. Mike is a great instructor, very clear and concise, gave us briefings on our dive spots which were good. | |

The dive sites were interesting with lots of underwater flora and fauna, spotted some animals not normally seen. Racha Yai had better fauna to be observed. | |

| Student comments: | It was my first time so enjoyed it a lot. Trying to control your body whilst exchanging snorkel with regulator was challenging. Seasickness was a major problem for me so I was slightly fatigued.
Racha Yai, Bay 1 - Went to bottom, variety of aquatic life, coral reefs were nice; Bay 3 - Clear water, white sand, it was interesting to see real starfish. | |

I enjoyed the ability of breathing underwater, it was difficult for me to believe it was possible, but relaxing and trusting the equipment helped me overcome that.
