Scuba Diving at Phuket Island
Paradise Reef
Located on the south side of Patong Beach, Paradise Reef lies just off an intimate and sheltered beach which is wonderful if you would like to escape the crowds and experience a quiet relaxing dive while your non-diving buddies soak up the sun on the beach.
If you are just starting out with a scuba diving course, or haven't been diving in a while, then this is the spot for you. Unlike the usual daytrips that take a whole day with a 7:30 am start and only returning to your hotel at 16:00 pm, you can enjoy a full underwater adventure, diving in Phuket at Paradise Reef following a late morning lie-in and still have time for other afternoon activities. At Paradise Reef you can start diving anytime you feel like it!
The modest reef is populated with hard corals and slopes from 5m down to 14m. You can spend hours discovering the smaller side of ocean life like nudibranchs and ghost pipefish while surrounded by a shoal of colourful reef fish.
With the sandy bottom below, the mild current and calm surface above, this site is the ideal place for beginners who want to smaple scuba diving in Phuket and see whether the sport is for them.
